Alisha Ballard
Alisha Ballard is the Vice-President and Executive Director of Living Legacy Foundation (LLF), whose mission is to positively impact the lives of those who lack access to the resources and opportunities to realize their dreams.
By working with a network of best-in-class organizations and like-minded industry-leading partners, LLF has launched two music industry initiatives with the goal to bring greater opportunity to women and the next generation of artists and professionals.
Most recently, Ballard joined forces with music industry powerhouse Linda Perry to co-found EqualizeHer, an initiative whose goal is to achieve equal representation of women across all sectors of the music industry, from recording studios to stages to board rooms. EqualizeHer’s mission is to open more doors for women so they can thrive in the music industry while helping others do the same. The initiative is also focused on generating awareness about gender disparity within the music industry while working with organizations to align efforts to further inspire, support and create greater opportunities for young women.
Alisha is also co-founder of Inherit the Music (ITM) together with rock band Kings of Leon. ITM believes that music has the ability to enrich the lives of students in the classroom, their future careers, and beyond. By providing young people with access to music experiences and education, ITM aims to empower the next generation of musicians to achieve their dreams.
Ballard holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Mount Saint Mary’s University. She is happily married to her husband, Dan, a very talented and accomplished musician and owner of Gold Pacific Studios in Newport Beach, CA. Alisha also loves spending time with her two daughters, Savanna and Maddie. She is happiest when traveling the world or enjoying a concert from the front row.
